                                    June 30, 2007

The Leslie County Bass Anglers held their 8^th tournament of the year on Douglas Lake.  Twelve teams showed up to find water temperatures in the 80’s, and water levels around 15 feet lower than normal.  Fishing for the week leading up to the tournament was reported as being tough, with the local tournaments taking 6-7 pounds to win.  Fishing was tough on most teams. Catching keepers was not the problem, but catching those quality keepers was.  A few of our teams seemed to figure how to catch those quality fish.

The team of Bill Bowling and Bill Wells won their 2^nd tournament in a row with a winning weight of 20 pounds and 5 ounces. The Bowling/Wells team also took Big Fish honors with a 6 pound and 9 ounce Largemouth.  The team of D.J. Howard and Sam Howard come in with another strong finish with a total weight of 12 pounds and 7 ounces for 2^nd place.  The team of Martin Allen and Mike Napier took 3^rd place with a total weight of 12 pounds.

Our next club tournament will be on September 22, on Lake Cumberland. We will take off from Conley Bottom. 8:00 p.m.- 5:00 a.m..

We will have a Big Fish Tournament on Saturday, July 28^th at Cherokee Lake. We will take off from 25 E Bridge at 8:00 p.m. and weigh-in will be at 5:00 a.m.  Anyone can fish this tournament, but you must have at least 1 LCBA member in the boat. Entry fee will be 40.00 dollars per person and we will pay back 100%.

                                Norris Lake Results- 6/16/07

The Leslie County Bass Anglers held their 7^th tournament of the year on Norris Lake on June 16^th, 2007.

14 teams showed up to show their skills against the Norris Lake Bass.  The team of Bill Bowling and Bill Wells took 1^st place with a total weight of 16 pounds and 5 ounces. The Bowling /Wells team also took Big Fish honors with a Largemouth weighing 4 pounds and 10 ounces. The team of Mark Morgan and L.J. Turner took 2^nd place with a weight of 12 pounds and 7 ounces. After another strong finish for Mark Morgan, he has almost locked up the win for Angler of the Year award with a 14 point lead over his nearest competitor. The team of Greg Miniard and Pugh Stubblefield took 3^rd place with a weight of 10 pounds and 15 ounces.

Our next tournament will be held at Douglas Lake on Saturday, June 30^th.  We will take off from Swanns Marina at 8:00 p.m. and weigh in at 5:00 a.m.

          The Leslie County Bass Anglers held their 1^st night tournament of the year on June, 2 at Cherokee Lake in Tennessee.

14 teams showed up to find water temperatures rising almost ten degrees in a week, and very low water levels.

          The team of Martin Allen and Mike Napier took 1^st place with a total weight of 17 pounds and 10 ounces. The Allen/Napier team also won Big Fish award with a 4 pound and 11 ounce Largemouth.  The team of Kevin Spurlock and Richard Fields took 2^nd place with a total weight of 16 pounds and 4 ounces. The team of Mark Morgan and L.J. Turner took 3^rd place with a weight of 16 pounds and 2 ounces.

          Our next tournament will be held on Saturday, June 16^th at Norris Lake.  We will takeoff at Claiborne County public ramp/Brogans Hollow.  We will take off at 8:00 p.m. and weigh-in at 5:00 a.m.

          The Leslie County Bass Anglers held their last day tournament of the year on Laurel Lake.

          14 teams showed up to find pre-spawn, swawning, and post- spawn fish.  The team of Morsie and Tony Caldwell took 1^st place with a weight of 14 pounds and 8 ounces.  2^nd place went to the team of D.J. and Sam Howard with a weight of 12 pounds and 9 ounces.  The Howard team also took Big Fish honors with a 5 pound and 1 ounce Largemouth. The team of Kevin Spurlock and Richard Fields took 3^rd place with a weight of 9 pounds and 4 ounces.

          Our next tournament will be on Cherokee Lake on Saturday, June 2^nd.  We will take off at 8:00 p.m. and weigh-in at 5:00 a.m.  We will take off from 25E bridge.

                                    April 28-29, 2007

          The Leslie County Bass Anglers held their annual 2 day tournament on Douglas Lake on April 28-29.

          Thirteen teams showed up to find beautiful weather and a busy lake with numerous other tournaments being held on the same weekend.

          The team of Brandon Wilson and Brian Harness took 1^st place with a total weight of 25 pounds and 3 ounces.  2^nd place was a tie between the teams of Bill Bowling and Bill Wells and D.J. Howard and Sam Howard with a total weight of 20 pounds and 13 ounces.  The team of Robin Farler and Dale Farler took big fish honors again for the 2^nd tournament in a row.  Robin caught a 7 pound Largemouth, which is the biggest fish ever weighed in the Leslie County Bass Anglers.

          The Leslie County Bass Anglers will hold their last day tournament of the year on Saturday, May 12^th on Laurel Lake.  We will take off from Flatwoods at 6:30 a.m. and the tournament will end at 4:00 p.m.

          The Leslie County Bass Anglers held their 3^rd tournament of the year on Lake Cumberland on Sunday, April 15^th. 13 teams showed up to face very cold and windy conditions.  Not only did it rain all day, but there was sleet and snow mixed in also.

          The team of Robin and Dale Farler took first place honors with 17 pounds and 15 ounces.  The Farler team also took big fish honors with a 5 pound and 6 ounce Smallmouth.  The team of Bill Bowling and Bill Wells took 2^nd place with a weight of 16 pounds and 1 ounce.  The team of Bill Johnson and David Brock took 3^rd place with a weight of 15 pounds and 7 ounces.

          Our next tournament will be our annual 2 day tournament at Douglas Lake.  It will be held on Saturday April 28^th from 6:30-5:00 and on Sunday, April 29^th from 6:30-2:00.  We will take off from Douglas Dam.

          The Leslie County Bass Anglers held their 2^nd tournament of the year on Norris Lake on March 17^th, 2007.  17 teams showed up to find temperatures in the mid 20’s after having 70 degree days leading up to the tournament.    Bill Johnson took 1^st place with a total weight of 20 pounds and 6 ounces.  He also took Big Fish honors with a 4 pound and 12 ounce Largemouth.   2^nd place went to the team of Morsie Caldwell and Tony Caldwell with a weight of 14 pounds and 4 ounces.  3^rd place went to the team of Mark Morgan and L.J. Turner with a weight of 11 pounds and 6 ounces.

          Our next tournament will be on Sunday, April 15^th.  It will be on Lake Cumberland.  We will take off from Conley Bottoms, and we will fish from 7:00 a.m.- 4: 00 p.m.
